A couple of months ago, I heard all these great rave reviews about the Laneige Porfessional Makeup Remover Multi Cleasner and ordered one for myself the next day straight from South Korea. Yes, literally, shipped from South Korea by an eBay seller. LOL. It’s a Korean product with a French name. As far as I know, this brand is still scarcly available here in the US.
Now, let me tell you, I do not, DO NOT like to jump products where my face is concern. I had been using Proactiv for over eight years just because it had tamed my skin somewhat. I got occasional pimples every now and then and here and there, but at least it wasn’t so out-there if I were to use any other products. And the only reason why was considering a switch was because my face was starting a whole new tribe of mini-tiny pimples even while I was using Proactiv. I don’t know why. You might say it was stress, the diet, the lack of sleep, or whatever, all I thought was I needed to find another product that can deal with my everchanging skin.
And that was when I heard of this great Laneige cleanser. Anyway, back to the story…I was very excited about the product especially when many women claim that it has kept their skin healthy and clear. I checked my mailbox everyday (and I usually check them only once every two weeks) and when I finally got it the next week, nearly ripped the package into pieces just from the excitement! Haha.
So I used the cleasner for the first time that evening. My face felt cealn but not too dry. I then followed with my other daily routine stuff as usual. I did this the next morning and then evening…and regularly for a week. Then…I stopped.
I started getting these huge pimples from deep under my skin. I was excited no more. What happened? I wasn’t sure. Maybe it didn’t quite remove the oil and grime from deep in my pores or maybe it was just wrong timing. Maybe…
I know it works for many people. They said so and they love it so. It’s not for me, one who has extremely oily skin. If you have normal skin maybe it’s for you. Just not for me…and so on I go searching for that perfect cleanser for my picky skin. Next stop? Maybe AcneFree; it’s half the price of Proactiv and I heard it works as well as Proactiv and better.
